JC Casco Bay.
Chief is a 31-foot custom Downeast boat, powered by a freshly remanufactured 320 horsepower 3208 CAT engine. With a 12-foot-wide beam and all-fiberglass construction, she is sturdy, spacious, and safe. Whether you're up in the Long Island Sound or way out on the Ocean, she is the right boat for the job. The boat is outfitted with the latest in safety equipment, exceeding US Coast Guard requirements.

Capt. Renz Conlon.
Captain Renz is a USCG 100-Ton Master license holder and has been fishing Long Island waters his entire life, both recreationally and commercially. He spends 200+ days a year on the water, working anywhere from inshore bays to 100 miles offshore, from Maine to Delaware.
He is a professional captain employed by the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at Stony Brook University, operating their fleet of research vessels. He always prioritizes the safety and success of your crew, and will ensure you have a memorable experience.

Bait, tackle, your New York State fishing license, and ice for the catch. Bring food, drinks, sunscreen, hat, soft-soled shoes, layers.
How do I book a trip?＋
Call or text (631) 987-3793, or send the form below. A $200 non-refundable deposit holds the date.
What if the weather turns?＋
Captain's call. Unsafe conditions reschedule, not refund. Your deposit rolls to a new date that works for us both, or to next season if it has to.
How many people fit on the boat?＋
Up to six guests. Pricing is per trip, not per head — bring a full crew if you've got one.
Do I keep my catch?＋
Your legal catch is yours. Renz will fillet at the dock or send you home with the whole fish — your call.
Tipping the crew?＋
When a mate is aboard, 20% gratuity is industry standard and goes to the mate. No mate, no gratuity expected.
Kids welcome?＋
Always. Youth trips for 14 and under are built around their attention span and energy. Real experience, not screen time.
When does the season run?＋
Species seasons follow New York State and federal regulations — call and Renz will tell you what's biting and the best time to get out.
